CompTIA N+ is an industry standard certification aimed at IT Technicians and computer support professionals.
This qualification for technicians is regarded as an industry benchmark, and is generally the second in a series of certifications that an IT professional will undertake.

This course is aimed at those intending to pursue a career as a Network Technician, or those already working in support roles looking for progression. What will I learn?

Computer hardware and operating systems with particular regard to networks ; installation, building, upgrading, repairing, configuring, troubleshooting, optimizing, diagnosing and preventive maintenance on networks.

What are the entry requirements?

Applicants are invited for an interview and no qualifications are necessary for acceptance, although any former experience is taken into account. CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent knowledge, though CompTIA A+ certification is not required. Have at least 9 to 12 months of work experience in IT networking

Where can I go next?

A natural progression from the N+ examination is to the CompTIA Server or Security certification, looking in more detail at Computer Servers environments or the Cisco CCNA

What facilities do we have?

A fully equipped practical ICT laboratory allows all learners gain hands on experience and to develop the skills. A portable network of workstations and switches is available to move into the modern commercial lecture suite.

How much will it cost?

The cost of the course is £500, which includes the cost of the examination

How long is the course?

The course lasts for 15 weeks at 3 hours per week, usually running from 6pm to 9pm on either Monday or Tuesday evenings (A/B TBA), although the course can also be offered on a ‘Boot Camp’ style, intensive basis
