Why choose this course?

Debt Collections have been developed to cover the skills required for the process of recovering monies owed to the creditor by establishing and maintaining a repayment agreement with the debtor, in an effectice and timely manner, within legal and ethical parameters

What will I learn?

The retail banking route at level 2 will focus on work in a bank or building society, call centre or remote financial services site.

With reference to Debt Collection optional units include the following Principles and Practice of:

H1 - Debt Repayment and Monitoring
H2 - Payment and Processing
H3 - Debt Collection Case Management (Pre legal)
H4 - Debtor Call Handling
H5 - Debt Collection Negotiation
H6 - Preparation for Debt Collection


Mandatory Units include:
1. Complying with Regulations within the Financial Services Environment
2. Improving and Maintaining Workplace Competence in a Financial Services Environment
3. Planning and Organising Work in a Financial Services Environment

Learners must also achieve one additional unit to complete the qualification - to be dicussed with employer to suit organisational needs

What are the entry requirements?

Candidates must be employed in a financial services role and undertaking relevant tasks. You should have a good command of the English Language for written and spoken work

What will you achieve?

Financial Services Apprenticeships are made up of a number of building blocks:

Technical Qualification - Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service

Competence Qualification - the NVQ - demonstrates that the individual meets the specified competencies to nationally benchmarked standards

Key/Functional Skills - these demonstrate an individual’s ability to communicate effectively and to use number skills

Employment Rights and Responsibilities - mapped across from company induction

What facilities do we have?

IT - free access to IT facilities Mon - Tue, Thu: 9am-8pm, Wed and Fri: 9am-4.30pm.  This includes your personal email account, use of software such as full suite of office software, 24 hr remote on-line access to email account and learning resources, Sage accounting, Sage Payroll, internet access, learning resources on 'Moodle'.

How much will it cost?

The Apprenticeship programme is flexible with various start dates available and is on a day release basis of once a week or assessed within the workplace

20 + the course fees/employer contribution is £300.00 including exam fees 
 
 
IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to the nature of the course and the professional qualification you are aiming for you must be available for studies throughout the academic year.  The college reserves the right to withdraw you from the course should your attendance not be satisfactory.

How long is the course?

The apprenticeship framework is expected to take no longer than 12 months
