The course is based on the new occupational standards from the ST&M national training organisation. The qualification covers the work carried out by Biomedical Scientists, porters or laboratory technicians in all types of laboratories accross the health swrevice including haematology, histology, immunlogy, microbiology, bichemiistry, cytologyand transfusion service.
