Birdy flies the nest!!

After over 50 years service to the Painting and Decorating industry in Oldham, Mr Peter Bird is finally hanging up his brushes. Peter has been a Painting and Decorating assessor at the College for ten years and prior to that either worked in or ran his own businesses in industry.

He is extremely well known in the decorating fraternity, and has passed on his skills and knowledge to many individuals. He will be greatly missed by the OSAT team and Construction department but not forgotten. Dave Luck Ltd, the leading painting and decorating contractor in Oldham have very kindly agreed to sponsor a trophy in Peter’s name.

The Peter Bird trophy will be awarded to a selected painting and decorating student on a yearly basis, for showing outstanding talent, but also a sense of loyalty and team spirit. The traits Peter will be remembered for.
