Partnerships Means Jobs.

12th April 2007

The success of Partnership to Employment in finding jobs for people has been given a further boost...

With the opening of new supermarkets in the Oldham area. This latest benefit has grown from a relationship with Jobcentre Plus, Highway to Opportunities and two training providers with experience in retail.

Oldham is one of four national pilot areas involved in the government's 'Underserved Markets' initiatives and the Tesco store in Failsworth is the first to take on previously unemployed people.

The scheme was launched in March and is already being seen as a success. The benefits are being rolled out across the borough with planned activity already in place as far a head as Autumn.
